We do things differently
Delivering social value is part of who we are.
Whether it is solving industry challenges, creating employment opportunities or enhancing the lives of the people in the communities we work in, we are passionate about making a positive impact. We make active decisions to positively impact our people, clients and communities.
At Reds10, providing solutions to our industry’s challenges is integral to how we operate. We believe that by tackling these challenges head-on, we can create lasting positive change and build a brighter future for everyone. Our approach begins with meaningful engagement.
By working closely with local communities and understanding their priorities, we ensure our presence delivers genuine benefit. We are committed to being responsible neighbours wherever we are operating, minimising disruption while maximising economic, educational and social opportunities.
Our teams across the UK work tirelessly to achieve our social value goals.
This year, we have seen brilliant progress in delivering social value across our projects, sectors, and in communities. Our teams have wholeheartedly embraced our initiatives and we have created opportunities for many to join our business and industry.
During the 2024-2025 financial year, here are a few highlights of what we achieved…
Since our foundation in 2008, we’ve always been interested in giving back and have done our best to do so, through:
RBVE
Reds10 work with RBVE, a charity and Social Enterprise (Britain’s Bravest Manufacturing Company) providing employment for veterans and people with disabilities, as well as accommodation for over 340 veterans, ranging from emergency HMO accommodation to family housing and assisted living. RBVE provide employment through their social enterprise, Britain’s Bravest Manufacturing Company (BBMC) and attached fulfilment centre, as well as offering employment support to those out of work through their LifeWorks programme.
The Reds10 Academy
Reds10 has partnered with Driffield School and Sixth Form and The Talent Foundry, a UK charity dedicated to improving social mobility for young people, to support the introduction of the Construction T Level into the school’s curriculum as an alternative to A Levels for young people in Driffield and East Riding.
This new initiative is designed to build aspiration and position the new T Level as an exciting and accessible post-16 pathway. It will support two parallel routes into the industry: a Professional Pathway through the T Level, and a Vocational Pathway through apprenticeships. A strong advocate for T Levels, Reds10 recognises the limited availability of such courses locally, so this programme has been designed in collaboration with The Talent Foundry and Driffield School and Sixth Form to directly address the gap, while also scaling up the company’s capacity to offer local apprenticeships over the next two years.
Release on Temporary Licence Programme (ROTL)
In 2024, we proudly launched our Release on Temporary Licence (ROTL) Programme at our Offsite Facility in Driffield. By collaborating with HMP Hatfield, we have provided pre-release employment opportunities to individuals currently serving sentences.
This programme offers employment and training to those on licence, aiming to equip them with a solid work record upon completing their sentence. Reds10’s goal is to either offer full-time employment to candidates post-release or provide them with a valuable work record if they relocate from Driffield. This initiative aims to reduce reoffending rates and enhance employability skills for ex-offenders. We are incredibly proud of all our ROTL team members, and are excited to now see these placements continue to be converted into full-time employment.
K10 Apprenticeships
Launched as a social enterprise by our Chairman, Paul Ruddick, K10 are London’s largest construction-specific Apprenticeship Training Agency (ATA).
K10’s aim is to place our learners in sustainable employment within construction projects in their home boroughs. To do this, we collaborate with government, local referral organisations, local authorities, developers, contractors, sub-contractors, colleges and more, to deliver apprenticeship and traineeship programmes specifically designed to upskill London residents.
Construction Youth Trust
Construction Youth Trust are a social mobility charity that inspires and enables young people to reach their full career potential by connecting them with employees and opportunities in construction and the built environment. Operating across London the charity supports around 18 thousand students every year, through a variety of career focused programmes.
We support Construction Youth Trust with their career skills and industry sessions, as well as offering work experience opportunities to its students.
Community Wood Recycling
Community Wood Recycling is an award-winning network of wood recycling social enterprises providing the very best environmental option for dealing with wood waste. Their aims are to save resources by reusing and recycling waste timber and change lives by creating jobs, training and volunteering opportunities for disadvantaged people.
We have been working with Community Wood Recycling on several of our education projects and we are excited about nurturing our relationship together in the years to come.
